Parchment Petals is a variant of design Parchment Shadow, carefully redrawn from a 1982 unfinished Liberty artwork. This nostalgic botanical peels back the layers, documenting all the stages of the painting process- from initial silhouettes and exposed shadows to realistic and detailed illustrations. Roses, poppies, narcissi, fuchsias and tulips among others, drift in and out of focus. This print is part of the Floral Focus narrative of the AW24 collection – inspired by countless artists who have attempted to tame their unruly blooms through the genre of still life, this series is a true celebration of organic forms and flourishes.
