The Creative Craft Show in Exeter last weekend provided 150 exhibitors and thousands of visitors with a ton of crafty inspiration to make our fabric fly off the stand over the 4 days. Thanks to all the people who came to say hello and bought fabric – we hope you were as inspired by the event as we were!
WHAT WE TOOK!
63 Soft Furnishing Rolls
25 Bolts of Liberty
80 Christmas Fabrics
80 Patchwork Fabrics
60 Jerseys
35 Cords
900 Fat Quarters
Here is Paul working out the best way to display all the lovely fabrics at their best…essential coffee nearby (with lid on please near those gorgeous prints!) and ruler in hand.
Fat Quarters flew off the stand
Yes, that’s right – 900 fat quarters – we could tell the quilters were out in force at the show as all our fat quarters proved very popular, so much so that Sally had her work cut out each night after the show prepping more for the next day! If you are worried you may have missed out on our Indian cotton Batiks, they are still available, just not in fat quarter form as they are a special show treat. Take a look at the latest Batik fabrics for sale.
Christmas Soft Furnishing fabrics
Exeter’s crafters clearly had Christmas themed homeware projects in mind judging by the popularity of our range of new Christmas soft furnishing fabrics, so we are going to make a new sample with them which we are hoping will be ready in time for our next big show, Knitting & Stitching at Alexandra Palace. Start taking inspiration for your festive creations by browsing our Christmas themed fabrics.
CORDUROY CRAZY!
The lovely new Corduroy fans fabric which came online in the last month, sold out at the show, but luckily we still have plenty of other patterned cords like our 60’s flower power to keep the corduroy aficionados happy – no doubt inspired by the high street corduroy trend harping back to 70s fashion but with new styles and colours to keep it modern. There's plenty more designs to choose from in the Corduroy fabric collection.
Back in the Fabrics Galore shop
When Paul arrives back at the Fabrics Galore shop in London, it’s all about getting the fabric back in store to fulfil those orders. It’s all hands to the van for the team until we have all the rolls beautifully displayed once more. Meanwhile in the shop we have taken delivery of some new plaids and checks including a Clueless style check which will be going up on the website at the end of the week. In the meantime you can check out the latest fabrics that have arrived in store.
Watch this space and see you on Stand H6 at Alexandra Palace The Knitting & Stitching Show later this month!
Fabrics Galore is one of the UK's leading online fabric stores.
