Here at Fabrics Galore, we always look forward to attending shows throughout the year, but unfortunately many were cancelled and delayed. For 2021, we’re sure everyone is looking to be a little bit more optimistic about the future, so we wanted to highlight some of the shows we’re hoping to attend in the coming months, if all goes to plan!
We really miss interacting with our customers and industry colleagues at the shows, so we hope that this year will bring a few more opportunities to chat with you all and discuss our shared love of high-quality fabrics. Do check the websites regularly for updates including information on timed ticket entry to limit numbers.
Quilts UK, Malvern 13th – 16th May 2021
We have all our fingers crossed that this show can go ahead in May and is due to be set in Severn Hall. This open competitive quilt show has entries from across the globe, and even showcases display quilts from well-known quilters and textile artists. As well as the competition being a huge part of this show, there is also a variety of exhibitors selling patchwork and quilting supplies - including Fabrics Galore.
Springfields Quilt Show, Spalding, 28 – 29th May 2021
This show is scheduled to go ahead in the gorgeous Spalding countryside on the River Welland in Lincolnshire. This quilt show is dedicated to all of your crafting needs, and we will hopefully be there showcasing all our wonderful fabrics that are perfect for quilting and patchwork projects. During the show, there will even be professional demonstrators on hand to show you their techniques and to give help and advice.
The Creative Craft Show, Excel London 4th – 5th June 2021
The Creative Craft Show is a magnet for all crafters and a joyous event for dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, offering all the very latest fabrics and sewing supplies, and showcasing innovations from the professionals! You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to fabrics, yarns, threads and buttons plus opportunities to learn from industry experts.
National Quilt Championships, Sandown 17th – 19th June 2021
Set to take place at Sandown Racecourse, this show is hopefully going to be the perfect summer day out for anyone who loves all things patchwork and quilting. Every year, this show has thousands of visitors who each enjoy a large selection of different hobbies. The Fabrics Galore team will hopefully be there to show you our wonderful selection of fabrics, including fat quarters and blenders. There is not only a variety of exhibitors selling patchwork and quilting supplies, but you can also enjoy beautiful feature display quilts from well-known quilters and textile artists which are guaranteed to provide you with some inspiration on your next project.
The Festival Of Quilts, Birmingham NEC, 29th July – 1st August 2021
Hopefully taking place at the end of July in the Birmingham NEC, this show is known as "Europe's Ultimate Quilting Destination". With over 800 quilts entered in the annual competition, as well as 300 companies selling patchwork and quilting supplies, this show is an absolute must for anyone who loves designing their very own quilts. The Fabrics Galore team is due to be attending as exhibitors, showcasing some of our favourite fabrics which would be a great addition to your collection. This year, there is even going to be "The Japan Pavilion" which includes 10 hand-picked exhibitors from The Great Quilt Festival in Tokyo.
The Handmade Festival, Battersea Park, London 10th -12th September 2021
This show will hopefully be a great end to a much brighter summer, and will take place at Evolution in Battersea Park, rather than its normal location in Hampton Court. The Handmade Festival has been taking place for 6 years, and it really is the place to go if you enjoy anything handmade and may even teach something new, inspiring you and your sewing friends to get creative. In this one event alone, there will be over 150 workshop sessions and over 300 exhibitors across a variety of creative industries - including Fabrics Galore with our latest fabric collections.
