2. Tilly and the Buttons Thea Trousers
We’ve mentioned this pattern a few times now, but we are still excited about the Thea trouser pattern launch earlier this year as it showed dressmakers what we’ve known for a while – that our home furnishing brushed cotton panama fabrics are the perfect fabric for trousers. (The pink version featured below is in our pink brushed panama). Channel casual sophistication with these stylish trousers. Featuring a wide leg, crop or full-length option, choice of pockets and optional belt loops, you could make so many different versions. Whichever you go for, the Thea Trousers will fit seamlessly into any season’s wardrobe.

This style of shirt was absolutely everywhere in the summer of 2024. We even made a sample of it for our summer shows, it looks great in our navy gingham. It can be made in any lightweight cotton, and with a difficulty of intermediate it’s a great one for someone who is venturing past simple patterns.
This pattern is part of a set so you can make a comfy co-ord or quite the pair of pyjamas. But with the return of the nice top and jeans, you won’t regret this pattern.
2. The Makers Atelier Pleated Skirt
Effortlessly chic, this box pleated skirt can be made up in different fabrics to wear all year round. Perfect for light to medium weight cottons in summer or drapey wools and crepes for winter, it’s a versatile piece for warmer days. 3. Atelier Jupe Billie Top and Finn Shorts
This coordinated set is a summer holiday essential, and we always love two patterns for the price of one! The Billie top features a flattering V-neck and fluttery sleeves, while the Finn shorts are designed with an elasticated waist for comfort and style. With the option of a fully elasticated waist or a flat front, there are also optional turn ups on the shorts for a dressier look. Sew the shorts and top together for a coordinated look or as separates.
Both patterns work well in viscose, cotton, linen, double gauze or even a jersey knit.
4. Liesl + Co. Positano Blouse and Dress
This stylish and beginner-friendly peasant blouse or dress features relaxed, gathered raglan sleeves with elastic cuffs, a soft V-shaped notch at the neckline, and a gathered yoke complemented by shoulder darts for added structure. The dress version includes short sleeves, practical side pockets, and a slim tie that wraps around the waist. The tie can be made in any length to allow for multiple wraps, giving you plenty of options to personalise the look. Additionally, you can choose different sleeve lengths to suit your taste, and the design lends itself beautifully to embroidery or other decorative details.
Its soft gathers and gentle drape make it a dreamy pick for lightweight fabrics like cotton lawn, poplin, voile or chambray.
